Life's Lesson

I have a temper
Stubbornness is another fault of mine
My words can cut deeply
Bitter things Like a poorly made wine

Temper teaches me
The lessons it gives are not fun
But I think I'm better after
When life's temper lesson is done

But lessons are hard
They are like falling from a tree
The hardest lesson of all is when
My lover learned to live without me

Ah yes. My temper, my sarcastic tongue. *sigh* Banes of my existence that I work on every day (or very nearly). Not a pretty sight for a 48 yr old woman to throw a tantrum.

Beautifully said.

Thanks.

My poetry isn't the best, but it does express how I feel.

Thank you, Sarah. I have to admit, I started to cry when I read your comment. Probably the freshness of my pain has made me especially susceptible to tears.

But thank you. Very much.
